This was our choice for the weekend trip, and I’ll be honest – it was a bit of an adventure! You can take the bus from Athens to Arachova: we took the KTEL bus from Liosion Station in Athens. The tickets were affordable (around €16-17), and the journey took approximately 2.5 hours.

My Pretty Travels Tip: The Liosion bus station is a bit outdated and doesn’t have electronic boards for departures. Announcements are only made in Greek over a loudspeaker just before departure. I recommend getting there early and checking with the info desk or asking locals about your platform. The station is small, so you won’t get completely lost, but if you’re running late, it can definitely be stressful.
